After the world's greatest superheroes are killed by an evil alien race known as 'The Goolons', the Earth is left defenceless. A new league of heroes must be formed. The best of whatever is left.

Experienced and well respected military leader Col Rench is put in charge of asembling The League Of Reserve & Backup Heroes. He calls on the now retired, and slightly overweight, Mr Brilliant to head up the new league.Although Mr Brilliant is till struggling with a cough syrup addiction, he agrees.

Made up from the retired, the injured and the plain useless superheroes that are left over, the league quickly earns the name The League Of Really Bad Superheroes. They are the world's last hope.... and last resort!
